After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake an Advanced Diploma qualification or progress on to Higher Education courses.

Graduates will be awarded a nationally recognised training certificate and transcript which they may use to apply for Credit towards other Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education courses in the future.
Graduates will also have upgraded academic standing and can use this qualification to meet entry requirements for entry to higher level Business programs. Australian Universities award credit for VET studies completed at Diploma level and higher at an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which is approved to deliver the AQF Diploma and AQF Advanced Diploma. Credit points will vary depending on your University of choice. If you wish to apply with a packaged programme of study with Shafston and an Australian University you simply apply to the University directly after receiving your Offer of a Place with Shafston for a Diploma level course or higher.
University Articulation
If your ultimate goal is to progress to a Bachelor Degree, Shafston is pleased to confirm that successful graduates of the BSB50207 Diploma of Business will receive up to 8 units of credit (equivalent to one academic year) at most Australian universities.
International student pre-requisites for Entry
English
Successful completion of one year full time secondary or tertiary study, where the language of instruction is English, or an overall IELTS score of 5.5, TOEFL 183/513 or any other relevant and equivalent English proficiency score. English proficiency can also be tested through the Shafston Internal Test of Academic English (ITAE) offered free of charge on either Shafston campus.
Academic
For entry to Diploma programs, applicants must have successfully completed Australian year 12 or an overseas tertiary business related qualification, or with vocational experience in a range of work environments in senior support roles but without a qualification. Students wishing to enrol directly into the Diploma of Business are requested to show they have the underpinning business knowledge for direct entry into this course. Shafstons preferred study pathway is via the Certificate IV in Business.
Enrolment in this course is available for both International and Domestic Australian students. This provides the exciting opportunity to compare Business strategies from International and Australian learners in the one class.
